What does a team that plays the Yankees in the first round of the playoffs and a guy who bangs your typical female
porn star have in common? They both get a bi.

(ny times)
Well, he did hit a home run last night. The only thing I can suggest as an explanation is teams tend to focus on the
other team's best hitter to make sure he doesn't beat them. Scouts find every little thing they can for pitcgers to use
against those hitters. Also, post-season pitchers are better than the general population of pitchers so they are more
capable of executing what the scouts tell them will work.

I think you just personally hate A-Rod. No one who watched this series could honestly say A-Rod lost the series. How
about Wang, who was throwing way too hard and killed his own sinker (which the Indians proceeded to whack)? How
about the rest of the offense to score one run...ONE in 11 innings. This is the #1 offense in baseball? How about
Jeter? 3 DPs in 17 AB. What did Matsui do? What did Posada do? What did Clemens do?
The Yankees SP has disappeared. Mussina, Clemens, and Wang all did poorly in this series. The kids (which you
seem to think the Yankees have none of) pitched their hearts out.
Want to know who to blame? Blame the SP for posting a 6.00 team ERA. They posted one good start in 4 games.
That's awful. Post-season, regular season, Spring Training - it's awful.
Want to blame hitters? Then blame all of them except Damon and Cano. The WHOLE TEAM batted .194. 18 mil man
Jeter batted .083. So I guess if he has two more bad 17 AB stretches, you'll be making a trade Derek Jeter website?
This I-think-ARod-sucks mentality is getting stupid. You're just picking out his failures and acting like the rest of the
game didn't even happen. You act like A-Rod went 0-6 while everyone else went 4 for 6. You think he should
somehow mystically-magically hit when the whole team (who is supposed to be #1 in baseball for offense) is getting
killed by the enemy pitching.
It's baseball, it happens. This is getting about as stupid as Steinbrenner saying that he'll fire Torre when the team is
already trying to get themselves back into a series. It's just as short-sighted, illogical, and indefensible.
But, hey, I'd be glad to see A-Rod leave the Yankees. Those nice young pitching prospects will lose a nice bit of run
support.

Just Don't get it
WE ARE SO F#CKING SMOKED IT'S DEPRESSING. FOR THE THIRD YEAR IN A ROW WE WON'T EVEN GET OUT
OF THE FIRST ROUND. JESUS CHRIST YOU WAIT ALL YEAR FOR THIS AND IN A MATTER OF FEW DAYS IT'S ALL
ABOUT TO BE GONE WITHOUT EVEN AS MUCH AS A WHIMPER FROM THESE PACK OF JERKOFFS. IT'S FAR
BETTER TO NOT EVEN MAKE THE PLAYOFFS THAN BE SOMEBODY ELSE'S GAURANTEED FIRST CLASS
TICKET PASS TO THE ALCS. NOBODY IS HITTING!!!!!! NOBODY!!!!
WE WASTED A VINTAGE ANDY PETTITE
PLAYOFF START
AND COULDN'T GET JUST ONE OR GOD FORBID 2 - 2 MORE F#CKING RUNS ACROSS. YOU
KNEW THEY WERE GOING TO LOSE THAT GAME IN WALK OFF FASHION BECAUSE THEY WERE NEVER - AND I
MEAN NEVER GOING TO SCORE ANOTHER RUN AND IT WAS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE THE INDIANS
WOULD GET ONE IN ONE OF THEIR TURNS. THATS THE WAY THEY LOSE - THEY DONT SCORE ANYMORE
RUNS AND BLOW SEVERAL, PRICELESS CHANCES TO GET THAT TIMELY HIT TO GIVE THEMSELVES A
CUSHION. I KNEW IT WHICH IS WHY I STOPPED WATCHING THE GAME WHEN THEY JUST STOOD!  STUCK ON 1
RUN FOR AN ETERNITY. WHY MAKE THE PLAYOFFS AT ALL?!?! F#CK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DISGRACEFUL AND GUTLESS. THIS TEAM SUCKS. WE ARE GOING TO BE TREATED TO ONE YANKEE PLAYOFF
HOME GAME AND I HOPE THEY ALL GET BOOED OUT OF THE F#CKING STADIUM FOR BEING USELESS CUNTS.
very well said

No doubt Arod puts up the regular season #'s, but bottom line is he struggles under pressure.  He is a good fit for a
borderline playoff team that needs a high profile star to draw fans during the regular season, but not for a team that
will need him to deliver in October. All in all the Yankees have enjoyed Arod's services at quite a discount for the past
4 years thanks to Texas, but when he opts out this year and Boras demands $30M+ per year for 5+ years the
discount is gone and so is Arod.  Considering the shift in direction Cashman and the Yankees have taken the past
two years there is no way they spend that much money on this offensive machine.  It has been said time and time
again "pitching and defense win championships" and that is what the Yankees need to acquire in the off-season.
One last note-we as Yankee fans can be quite superstitious (many of us actually believed in the Curse of the
Bambino until the infamous 2004 meltdown) so let me offer up my tak! e on the Yankees quest for #27.  The Mattingly
jinx.  Yes that's correct, it is my belief that as long as Mattingly sits on the bench in Yankee pinstripes the Yankees will
not celebrate another World Championship.  He arrived just on the heels of a nice Yankee run and he departed just
before the most recent Championship bonanza.  Sorry Donny Baseball, loved your spirit and abilities but like the goat,
the Bambino, Buckner and Bartman the Baseball Gods reached down and anointed you,
unfortunately for us it was to jinx the Yankees.  All we need to fear now is that Steinbrenner (or whomever is actually
calling the shots nowadays) replaces Torre with Mattingly.  If so, welcome back to the playoff drought of the 80s.

Enough has been said about Gay-rod on this website so I thought I'd complain about some of Steibrenners other
mistakes. Trading away Soriano I guess goes with getting Arod in the first place. Pavano, enough said. Kevin Brown,
gay. Randy Johnson, horrible. Giambi, over paid roid head who should choke on Arod's penis. Johnny Damon. Why
would you go out and get the heart and soul of the red sox in the first place? Then you get him and he throws like a
girl, liek you know, hits .250 like he always has, and just looks dumb. At least Torre finally woke up and gave center
field to Melky. Roger Clemens, instead of giving him ridiculous amounts of money to pitch four innings every five days,
we should've just brought up another rookie. And I know I'm gonna be unpopular when I say this, but Derek Jeter. I
really just don't like him. Too cocky and overpaird. $18 million for .300 and 20? No way. He has even lost some of his
clutchness. I just don't like him. Stick with the real yankees. Cano, Melky, Joba, Hughes, Kennedy, Andy Phillips, and
so on. Get back Soriano and move him to third. Cashman should just start trading people away for minor league
talent. With the young core the Yankees have now, and some more young talent, we could see another 98 team
in 2010.

As a Brewer fan, I think it's arrogant for you to say the 162-game season doesn't matter; only the playoffs do.  But I
don't blame you. I'd think the same thing if my team made the playoffs every year for at least a decade.  What you
don't fully understand, is this year, you almost didn't make the playoffs.  You did win the wild card by 6 games, but
A-Rod was worth at least 10, maybe 15 wins.  Put an average 3B there, you don't make it.  Without A-Rod, you are
not in the playoffs.  Yes, I saw tonights 0-4, 3K performance.  Doesn't matter.  He got you there, and you need him
playing to win.  0-25 playoff streak, doesn't matter.  You need to keep A-Rod out there and hope for the best, from
the entire team.

A Rod:  MVP and a great hitter!

Bring back Boone---I've said it all along--just had no place to vent it. I felt both he & Sheffield were more divicive than
team players. Both are great in their own right, have done wonderful things, alot of charity work, etc, but just not team
players.
I thought on some of those homers, jogging around  the bases, A-Rod looked like Herman Munster. At the money he
makes, why does he have to be cajoled? He's never gonna be a Jeter, but he wants that adoration too, I think.  On
the other hand Jeter's happy being Jeter.
Let's talk managers. Mattingly being trained to follow Torre. I always thought it would be Girardi. Love Donny--Shame
he had to quit early, But Girardi trained/made Posada the player he became. He's always been around. He's certainly
had all the exposure one would hope for, and is a proven winner. Why did they stop Donny as hitting coach? He has
the credentials there

There is no way you are a true Yankee fan, instead of supporting them you have devoted your time to bashing
AROD, what a joke...I google AROD and get this site, seriously who spends their time creating a web-site about how
much they dislike someone..If you find some time tonight to get away from your computer the Yankees are on...just
cause you couldn't play the sport doesn't mean you should bash someone who does...you computer geek!!

Todd
I wrote you before, but I had to comment on your latest bit of idiocy.  Are you really saying if A-Rod goes 0-4 in the
first game, he should sit out the rest of the playoffs?  Let's say in four AB's he smashes the ball three times.  Twice it
goes right to a fielder, and once Grady robs him of extra bases.  Should Torre sit him after that 0-4?  If a weak
grounder and a blooper turn into singles, will that 2-4 performance point to postseason MVP honors?  The problem
isn't A-Rod's so-called playoff failures.  It's some Yankee fans' failures of reason.

Just Don't get it
It's over. Enough said.

Just don't get it:
Well folks, the moment has finally arrived. Only Yankee fans can look past a 162 game schedule because the only
thing that matters is the playoffs. It is THE season for us. We are on the eve of what we have been waiting for since
the moment the Tigers recorded the last out to eliminate us last year. Man I'm excited. And I can't help but be relieved
that we are not going to play the Los Angeles Jerkoffs of Anaheim in the 1st round - something that has been
expressed on this site several times. Not to mention the Mets collapse! Wow what a MELTDOWN - get the bady bags
out in Queens. I think the suicide rate is going to go waaaayyyy up LMAO!!!!
BUT NOW THE MOMENT IS HERE AND THE QUESTION WILL FINALLY GET ANSWEREDONCE AND FOR ALL:
CAN
ALEX RODRIGUEZ GET IT DONE
FOR THE NEW YORK YANKEES WHEN IT MATTERS MOST - THE POST SEASON? CAN HE
CONTRIBUTE AND HELP LEAD THE YANKEES TO ANOTHER CHAMPIONSHIP - ONE THAT HAS BEEN EXTREMELY ELUSIVE IN
RECENT YEARS? WILL THIS BE THE YEAR WE FINALLY LIVE UP TO OUR NAME AND END OUR 7 YEAR STREAK OF NOT WINNING
IT ALL? AND FINALLY,
WHAT RODRIGUEZ'S ULTIMATE FATE AS A YANKEE WILL BE?
ONE THING IS FOR SURE - WE ARE GOING TO FIND OUT.......STAY TUNED
